WTC Final Scenario for India : India have suffered a huge loss in the World Test Championship points table after losing the Pune Test and series against New Zealand. With this, India's hopes of playing the final of the World Test Championship have also suffered a big blow. In fact, after the defeat in the second test match against New Zealand, there has been a big upheaval in the points table. Due to which the pressure on India to win the next matches has increased.

India's win-loss percentage had dropped from 74.24 to 68.06 percent due to the defeat in the first match of the Test series against New Zealand. Now, after the crushing defeat of 113 runs in the Pune Test, the team's win-loss percentage has come down to only 62.82. That means the team has suffered a loss of about 6 points. The team has played 13 matches so far in the current cycle. However, India still remains on top in the points table. On the other hand, New Zealand has got the advantage of winning the series. The Kiwi team has now moved from fifth position to fourth position in the points table. The Kiwi team has played 10 matches so far and won 5.

India will now have to win 4 out of 6 matches

After losing the Test series against New Zealand, India will now have to win 4 out of its remaining 6 matches at any cost. The team has to play one of these matches against New Zealand on 1 November. India has to go to Australia to play the remaining five matches in the Border-Gavaskar series. If New Zealand also wins the last match of the Test series, then the team will have to register a 4-1 win against Australia.
