Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said in a press conference in Delhi today, “The Union Cabinet has approved the construction of a new railway line up to Andhra capital Amaravati for a distance of 57 km. This project will be set up at a cost of Rs 2,245 crore.

This project will be implemented to connect major capitals of the country including Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai with Amaravati. Through this project, a railway flyover is also to be constructed over the Krishna river for a distance of 3.2 km. It will be located between Errupalayam – Nampur in Andhra Pradesh. With the construction of this new railway line, we will be able to connect the states of South, Central and North India. This route is easy for those visiting Amaravati Memorial Pillar, Undavalli Caves, Amareshwar Linga Swamy Temple, Dhyana Buddha Project etc. The railway line will also connect the ports of Masulipatnam, Krishnapatnam and Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh. The Union Cabinet has also approved the implementation of railway projects in Bihar at a cost of Rs 4553 crore.

Sarkatiaganj-Raskal-Sitamati-Darbanga work and double track work between Sitamati-Muzaffarpur will also be started. The total distance of 256 kilometers will benefit the people of Uttar Pradesh and North Bihar. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that these works announced for Andhra and Bihar states will be completed within 4 years. Chandrababu Naidu's gratitude: Andhra Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his gratitude on the announcement of the Union Ministry of the plan to connect Andhra's capital Amaravati with other major capital cities by railway line. Talking about this in Amravati, Chandrababu said, 'I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav who are supporting the construction of a new railway line for Amravati.

With this, Amravati will be connected to other states. This makes me very happy. Similarly, he said that he would also like to remind that the Visakhapatnam Railway Circle project has been pending for many years. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, BJP State President Purandeshwari and others have thanked the Prime Minister for this scheme. For National Highway works Rs. 252 crore fund allocation: In this context, the Central Government has allocated Rs 252.42 crore for the construction of national highways in Andhra Pradesh. A 6-lane national highway is to be constructed from Srikakulam Ranasthalam area. It is also worth noting that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced this through social media.
