Latest News :- PM Modi said, “The conflict in Ukraine and West Asia is worrying. India is ready to contribute in every way to maintain peace.” Modi said this after his meeting with German President Olaf Scholes, where he appealed to India to contribute to the political solution of the long-running conflict in Ukraine.

Speaking after the 7th Inter-Governmental Consultations with the German Chancellor, PM Modi said the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and West Asia is a matter of concern for both the countries. India has always felt that war is not always the solution to problems. India is ready to contribute in every way to maintain peace. There is also a need for reform in various institutions, including the UN Security Council.

India-Germany relations are an alliance of change, not an alliance of exchange, between two bright and strong democracies. The world is going through tensions, conflicts and uncertainties. There are serious challenges to the rule of law and free migration in the Indo-Pacific region. In such times, the partnership between India and Germany has emerged as a strong foundation.

In the last India-Germany Dialogue (IGC) held in 2022, we had taken some important decisions regarding bilateral cooperation. The two years have witnessed encouraging developments in various areas of our diplomatic relations. There has been growth in areas of mutual trust such as defence, technology, energy, green and sustainable development. I am very happy that we have taken several important decisions to expand and improve the partnership between our two countries and move from a total state to a total nation approach,” PM Modi said. IGC was created in 2011. It allows a comprehensive review and identification of new areas of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
