Prime Minister launches medical insurance scheme for people above 70 years of age

Latest News :- Registration for the scheme to provide free health insurance to senior citizens aged 70 years and above will begin from next week. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate these processes next Tuesday. The central government last month approved the 'Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana' scheme, which provides health insurance to all senior citizens aged 70 years and above, regardless of their income. Pilot projects were carried out in different parts of the country to assess readiness for implementation of the scheme.

In such a situation, name registration for this project is going to start at the national level next week. It is expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start this process on Tuesday. UWIN has been developed by the Central Government to vaccinate all pregnant women and children as part of the nationwide vaccination programme. Prime Minister Modi is also going to launch this app and other important health programs on that day. “All senior citizens aged seventy years and above will get insurance up to Rs 5 lakh per year on a family basis,” officials said about the scheme. The UK app will be used to get appointments with doctors,” he said.
