BJP leader's tongue slipped on Congress leader's daughter, people surrounded and set fire to the police station



Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: There has been an uproar in Sangamner of Ahilyanagar (formerly Ahmednagar) district of Maharashtra after the controversial remarks of BJP leader Vasantrao Deshmukh, daughter of Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat. Congress workers are protesting. On Friday (25 October) the mob surrounded the police station and set it on fire. Also blocked the road. Protests are being held outside the police station. Police have registered a case against four people in this matter.

Vasantrao Deshmukh made objectionable remarks on Balasaheb Thorat's daughter Jayshree in a program organized by BJP leader Sujay Vikhe Patil in Sangamner. Dr. Jayshree is campaigning for her father, who is contesting from Sangamner seat for the ninth time.

Demand for strict action against Vasantrao Deshmukh

Congress workers surrounded the Sangamner Taluka Police Station from 10 pm on Friday night to 6 am on Saturday. He demanded action against Vasantrao Deshmukh and Sujay Vikhe Patil.

Opposition's attack on BJP

State Congress President Nana Patole has said, 'Derogatory language has been used about Jayshree. Such language reflects the mentality of BJP towards women. Regarding this incident, Bala Saheb said in Mumbai, 'My daughter is capable of handling this situation.' NCP (Sharad Pawar) state president Jayant Patil claimed, 'These comments have exposed the real face of BJP regarding women.'
