Latest News :- Samajwadi Party has threatened to field 25 to 30 independent candidates if the MVA alliance does not approve the five candidates announced in Maharashtra. Elections for the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly will be held in a single phase on November 20. 29th is the last day for filing nominations. Here, Congress, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) and Nationalist Congress (Sharath Pawar) parties included in the MVA alliance are contesting elections on 85-85 seats. Total number is 255. And these parties have decided to divide 16 seats among themselves. The remaining 15 seats will be shared among the Samajwadi Party, Communist Party of India, Marxist, Aam Aadmi Party, Kisan and Mazdoor Party in the all-India alliance.

Samajwadi Party asked for 12 seats in the MVA alliance. But due to delay in seat allotment it announced candidates in 5 constituencies. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Pradesh Samajwadi President Abu Azmi said: 2 days are left to file nominations. It is regrettable that they have not yet allocated seats to the coalition parties claiming to form the next government. This delay is a big mistake of Mahavikas Aghadi. I have expressed my displeasure with Sharad Pawar. We have announced 5 candidates. This must be approved by the MVA. Otherwise we field 20 to 30 independent candidates.

I am afraid because Congress has betrayed us twice already. They made us wait till the last minute and finally did not give us any seat. Congress fails because it goes to Delhi for every decision. Why was the State Congress President not allowed to take the decision? This is his biggest mistake. As Samajwadi State President, I am taking decisions for the party here. Abu Azmi said this.
