Pakistan cricket got a big blow, head coach resigned

Pakistan Cricket: After Mohammad Rizwan became the new captain of Pakistan white ball team, now the team has suffered a big blow. Gary Kirsten has resigned from the post of head coach of Pakistan's ODI and T20 international teams. Kirsten was appointed by the PCB on a two-year contract in April 2024, but he lasted barely six months in the post.

According to ESPN, a public statement in this regard will be issued soon. There was a rift between Pakistan's newly appointed coaches Kirsten and Jason Gillespie and the PCB ever since the board decided to strip them of their selection rights.

According to media reports, one of the reasons for the delay in announcing the team and the new limited overs captain was the ongoing discussion within the board, in which Kirsten wanted his suggestions to be considered. When new captain Mohammad Rizwan was announced in the press conference, only PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi along with new selection committee member Aaqib Javed and new captain and vice-captain Salman Aga were present in that press conference. Gary Kirsten was not even present in Pakistan at that time.

The news is updating….
