Burhanpur:- A heart-wrenching incident took place on Saturday in Usarni Pratap Falya of Khaknar police station area, 40 km from Burhanpur district headquarters. An alcoholic father is accused of brutally murdering his own 3-year-old son by killing him with an axe. According to the police, young Mukesh attacked his 3 year old son's neck with an axe. Due to this he bled. He died on the spot. As soon as this news spread in the village, it created a sensation.

Troubled by her drunken husband, the wife went to her parents' house.

As soon as the information was received, Khaknar police station reached the spot. The accused absconded after the incident. The police have registered a case of murder against him and started the search. Family members told the police that Mukesh is addicted to drinking alcohol. He has 3 children. The elder daughter is 5 years old and the two twin sons are 3-3 years old. A drunken father attacked his son's neck with an axe. It is said that being upset with Mukesh's drinking habit, his wife left him and went to her maternal home.

Accused absconding, police busy searching

After going to his wife's parents' house, Mukesh started drinking more alcohol. After the brutal murder of the innocent son, his 5 year old daughter informed the aunt living nearby. When the sister of accused Mukesh came to the spot, she saw that the child was lying bleeding. She got scared after seeing this scene. Within no time a crowd of villagers gathered. Regarding this, Khaknar police station in-charge Abhishek Jadhav says that the accused is absconding. A search is going on for him. Meanwhile, on Sunday, SDOP Nirbhay Singh Alava also arrived for investigation.
