Russia's statement on the border agreement between China and India, praised PM Modi fiercely

New Delhi: Russia's statement has come on the border agreement between China and India. Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov on Monday described the China-India agreement on the border issue as a positive step towards bilateral relations. Welcomed the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the BRICS summit held in Kazan.

Alipov said that the recently concluded BRICS summit in Kazan city of Russia was a complete success. This is not an exclusive but an inclusive platform. Alipov told reporters here that BRICS is not anti-West but a group of non-Western countries.

India-China agreement was supported on 23 October

In response to a question about the China-India agreement on the border issue, Alipov said that it is a positive progress towards India-China bilateral relations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping on October 23 supported the India-China agreement on patrolling and disengagement of troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.

When asked about the meeting between Modi and Xi, the Russian Ambassador to India said that we did not play any role in it. But we are glad that it happened in Kazan. He said that we welcome this meeting wholeheartedly.
