Mirzapur film announced, Munna Bhaiya is coming soon to create havoc on the big screen
Mirzapur The Movie: A tremendous gift is ready for the fans of Mirzapur. The superhit web series 'Mirzapur' is now ready to create a stir on the big screen. After three successful seasons on Amazon Prime, this series will now be presented as a standalone film. 'Mirzapur- The Film' will be released in 2026.
In the film, once again we will get a chance to see characters like Munna Tripathi, Kaalin Bhaiya and Guddu Pandit on the big screen. The film was announced by Farhan Akhtar through a post on Instagram in which he wrote, "Now the space will be bigger and so will the curtain. #MirzapurTheFilm, coming soon."

Kaalin Bhaiya's magic in the announcement video
The announcement video starts with Pankaj Tripathi's iconic character Kaleen Bhaiya. He is seen with the famous 'Gaddi' of Mirzapur and starts the conversation with this iconic dialogue, "You already know the importance of throne – respect, power, control. You also watched Mirzapur sitting on your throne, but this time there is a risk if you do not get up from your throne."
Guddu Bhaiya's entry style
After this, Guddu Bhaiya played by Ali Fazal enters the video. Guddu bhaiya says, "Taking risks is our USP. Now the whole game has changed. Mirzapur will not come to you, you will have to come to Mirzapur."
Munna Bhaiya's return
The last entry in the video is of Munna Tripathi played by Divyendu. He enters from the theater balcony saying, "We are the heroes of Hindi films… and Hindi films are watched only in theatres. You said, we are immortal. Now the throne of Mirzapur will be ruled from here itself." Meanwhile, a glimpse of Munna's friend the compounder is also seen.
'Mirzapur – The Film' will be released in 2026
This film will be released under the banner of Excel Entertainment. The makers have confirmed that its original creator Puneet Krishna will be the writer of this film, and Gurmeet Singh will direct. With the announcement of the film's release in 2026, the excitement of 'Mirzapur' fans has increased even more.
