Latest News :- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's wife Parvati was interrogated by Lokayukta police for more than 3 hours in the land misappropriation case. Mysuru Municipal Development Corporation allotted the land to Parvati, wife of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddhara Maiya, for acquisition. A case of land misappropriation was filed against Siddaramaiah as the value of the land given in return was many times more than the value of the land acquired. The matter is being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate and Lokayukta.

The case included Siddaramaiah as the first accused, his wife Parvati as the second accused and elder brother-in-law Mallikarjuna Swamy as the third accused. Meanwhile, enforcement officials raided the house of younger brother-in-law Devraj last week. As the matter escalated, Parvathi handed over the land to the Mysore Municipal Development Corporation. In this case, Lokayukta police interrogated Parvati from 9 am to 12.30 pm yesterday.

Then how was the land acquired? How much was purchased? How was it achieved? Various questions are said to have been raised, including how to apply for alternative land. Lokayukta police have intensified the investigation as they have to file the first report in this case by December 25. It is reported that the police is planning to interrogate Chief Minister Siddaramaiah soon. This has created a stir in Karnataka politics.
