Drug racket busted, two Indian citizens jailed in Britain

London : Two men involved in the large-scale import and distribution of illegal drugs from India to Britain have been sentenced to jail in London. Police in the City of London have busted a major racket and seized drugs worth almost a million pounds, including more than 730 kilograms of powerful opioids and sedatives.

Salman Ansari (33) was sentenced to six years in jail after being found guilty of 12 counts of possession with intent to supply prohibited Class A, B and C drugs, conspiracy to supply drugs and one count of money laundering.
