New Delhi : Ambuja Cements, the cement company of the country's famous businessman Gautam Adani, has faced losses in this current financial year. This group has recently presented the figures related to the second quarter of its company. On the basis of which, information has been received that Ambuja Cements has suffered a loss in net profit in the second quarter of the current financial year 2024-25 i.e. from July to September. It is being told that in this second quarter the integrated net profit has come down to Rs 472.89 crore.

The company's net profit for the second quarter of the last financial year 2023-24 i.e. July to September was Rs 987.24 crore. Ambuja Cements Ltd. That is, ACL has informed the stock market that its operating income in the quarter from July to September was Rs 7,516.11 crore, whereas it was Rs 7,423.95 crore in the same period of the previous financial year.

Net profit figures

The total income of ACL i.e. which also includes other income was Rs 7,890.14 crore in the second quarter. The total expenditure in the quarter under review stood at Rs 7,023.49 crore. Ambuja Cements has reported a net profit of Rs 500.66 crore in the July-September quarter on a standalone basis. It was Rs 643.84 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Standalone operating income in the first quarter of FY 2024-25 was Rs 4,213.24 crore.

Commenting on the results, Ajay Kapoor, Whole Time Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, said that ACL has delivered another consistent performance in line with its growth template and setting new standards in efficiency. He said that with our strong presence across the country, we are also expanding our presence in new geographical areas in line with our vision.

Successful deal with Orient Cement

Following the successful completion of the Orient Cement deal, we are all set to achieve a capacity of over 100 million tonnes by the end of the current financial year. In the first 6 months of the financial year i.e. April to September, ACL's operating revenue was Rs 15,827.5 crore and net profit was Rs 1,256.07 crore. Its sales volume in the first half of the last 5 years was the highest at 3.01 crore tonnes.
