Election Commission rejects Congress allegations irregularities in Haryana election News In Hindi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) rejected Congress's allegations of any irregularities in Haryana elections, calling them baseless and factless. In the Haryana elections held earlier this year, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) defeated the Congress for the historic third time.

The Election Commission wrote a letter to the Congress asking it to refrain from making baseless allegations in every election. The Commission accused Congress of spreading 'common' suspicion.

The Election Commission also urged Rahul Gandhi's national party to take firm and concrete steps to stop such tendencies. The commission said irresponsible allegations on sensitive occasions such as voting and counting days could lead to public unrest and anarchy.

The Election Commission cited five specific cases that occurred in the last one year and asked the national party to exercise utmost caution and avoid habitually attacking the electoral process without any evidence.

In its letter, the Election Commission referred to its meeting with the Congress delegation on October 9. The party had sought clarification on “lack of clarity on display of 99% battery status on CU of EVMs during counting in some polling stations of 26 constituencies.”

The Commission said that the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Haryana studied the responses of each Returning Officer (RO) and said in his report, “Returning Officers have not found any evidence of any irregularities in any electoral process The responses reveal continued participation of Congress candidates, representatives and their agents in various election processes, including EVM processes.”

Following questions from Congress, the Election Commission said it has amended its FAQ to include details of EVM batteries and power packs.

Rejecting Congress's allegations, the Commission said, “In view of the above, the Commission categorically rejects all baseless allegations and apprehensions made by the Congress in respect of all aspects of the electoral process in the recently concluded Haryana Assembly elections. “

It said that Congress has once again created an atmosphere of doubt on the credibility of the entire election result…this is rarely expected from a national political party.

The letter said, “The Commission sincerely urges the Congress to take firm and concrete steps in line with its old and glorious image, to amend its aforesaid approach and by doing so set an exemplary example for all, so that the sensitive electoral This can be done responsibly in phases, so as to avoid the possibility of public unrest and anarchy.”
