Bharti Airtel Q2FY25 Results: Telecom company Bharti Airtel has earned a profit of Rs 3,593 crore in the second quarter of financial year 2025. There has been an increase of 168 percent on annual basis. In the same quarter a year ago, the company had made a profit of Rs 1,340 crore.
Bharti Airtel's consolidated operating revenue increased 12 per cent year-on-year to Rs 41,473 crore in the July-September quarter. The company's revenue in the same quarter a year ago was Rs 37,043 crore.
Bharti Airtel Q2FY25 Results: Shashwat Sharma becomes the new MD and CEO of the company
There has also been a major change in the management of the company. Shashwat Sharma has been made the new MD and CEO of the company. His tenure on this post will be effective from January 1, 2026. Shashwat is currently working as Chief Operations Officer (COO) in the company.
Shashwat has been appointed to these posts in place of current MD and CEO Gopal Vittal. At the same time, Gopal Vittal has been made the executive vice president of the company. His tenure on this post will also be effective from January 1, 2026.
Gopal Vittal was working as MD and CEO of the company for the last 12 years. Sunil Bharti Mittal is the chairman of the company.

The results of companies come in two parts – standalone and consolidated. In standalone, the financial performance of only one unit is shown. Whereas the consolidated financial report gives the report of the entire company.

Airtel shares closed at Rs 1,665 today with a decline of 0.057%. The company's shares have given a return of 24.96% in 6 months and 80% in one year. This year i.e. from January 1, 2024 till now, Airtel shares have increased by 64.36%. The market cap of the company is Rs 9.97 lakh crore.
