With this release, the testing agency has announced new changes for next year's engineering entrance exam. According to the information bulletin, NTA has changed the tie-breaking rules and removed some application and age criteria. As per the revised guidelines, age and JEE Main 2025 application number of the candidates will not be considered while ranking the candidates. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their current rank. If the tie still persists, then the candidates will be given the same rank. When will JEE exams be held?
The agency has released the JEE Main 2025 exam schedule on Monday evening. As per the official schedule, JEE Main 2025 Session 1 is tentatively scheduled to be held from January 22, while Session 2 will be tentatively held between April 1 to 15. NTA has opened the registration window for JEE Main 2025 and eligible candidates can fill the application form through the new official website of JEE, jeemain.nta.nic.in till November 22. JEE Main 2025: There will be no optional questions in Section B
The testing agency has also discontinued the optional question portion from Section B. Now, candidates have to answer all the questions compulsorily. Section B will have only five questions in each subject and candidates will have to attempt all five questions without any option for selection in Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech), Paper 2A (B.Arch) and Paper 2B (B. JEE Main 2025: Official schedule
NTA started the online application process for JEE Main 2025 January session exam on October 28. The last date for submission of applications is November 22, applications will be accepted till 11.50 pm on that date.
JEE Main January 2025 exam will be held from January 22 to January 31. Admit cards for the examination will be issued three days before the commencement date. Candidates need to use their login credentials, such as registration number and date of birth, to download the admit card. The exam will be conducted in 13 languages, which include English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
JEE Main 2025: Important Instructions
Candidates applying for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 should note that the application forms can be filled through online mode only. Application forms will not be accepted in any other mode.
Candidates can submit only one application at a time. Under no circumstances will candidates be allowed to fill more than one application form. Strict action will be taken later also against the candidates who fill more than one application form.

Candidates should ensure that the email ID address and mobile number given in the online application form is their own or that of their parents/guardians only, as all information/communication by NTA will be through email only on the registered email address or registered mobile number.
