Apple Intelligence is here, how to use it in India?

Delhi Delhi. Apple has officially joined the AI race with the launch of Apple Intelligence out of beta with the iOS 18.1 release. Apple's new AI feature, announced late Monday night in India, lets users write creatively in different styles, get notification summaries, edit photos and talk to a redesigned Siri similar to AI chatbots like ChatGPT or Gemini Live. Will help. Apple Intelligence will work on the entire iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro lineup, as well as last year's iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The first example of Apple Intelligence only works if the iPhone's language is set to US English, regardless of the user's region. This means that the company's AI features work in India as well. (Apple will launch support for Indian English later this year.)

Eligible iPhone users will first need to go to device Settings and download iOS 18.1. Once the update is installed, users will see a new Apple Intelligence and Siri option in Settings. However, the new AI features will not be turned on by default and users will have to join a waiting list to try Apple Intelligence. But they will have to first change the iPhone language to US English to be eligible for Apple Intelligence in India. To do this, select 'English (United States)' as the language in Apple Intelligence and Siri settings. Now, tap on 'Join the Apple Intelligence Waitlist' and wait for Apple to accept the request.

Apple says users get approved for the Apple Intelligence feature within minutes of applying. The iPhone will begin downloading additional files for Apple Intelligence a few moments after the waitlist ends, provided the device is connected to Wi-Fi and has enough battery. Once the files are downloaded and installed, the iPhone will notify that Apple Intelligence is ready for use.

Writing tools are a set of tools that focus on improving the language and style of anything users write. According to Apple, these tools “help you find the right words almost everywhere you type.” This includes summarizing, proofreading, rewriting, tabulating, and breaking down an article into main points.

Clean Up in Photos allows users to remove distracting things from photos, such as people or unnecessary objects in the background. The Photos app also has a 'Create Memory' feature that uses photos and videos to create a themed video, such as your last family vacation. Apple has equipped the Photos app with natural language search for better search capabilities.

iPhone users have been against iOS notifications for a long time. With the new update, Apple has listened to them. The new Notification Summary feature reads notifications from allowed apps and provides a summary based on context. The new Reduce Interruptions Focus helps users focus on their work as iPhone filters notifications based on the Focus profile, as well as providing exceptions for important alerts through intelligent breakthroughs and silencing in Focus.
