Tata-Airbus project shifted to Gujarat due to Modi and Shah’s anti-Maharashtra stance: Congress- The Week
The BJP has consistently done injustice to Mumbai and Maharashtra, and the Modi-Shah duo is a major obstacle to state’s progress, Congress state president Nana Patole alleged on Monday.
He said the leadership of Shinde, Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar in the state is ineffective, which is why major projects in the state are being shifted to Gujarat.
Patole said that by moving the Tata-Airbus project from Maharashtra to Gujarat, BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have rubbed salt into Maharashtra’s wounds.
“Maharashtra’s people will teach the BJP-led alliance, which is stealing the state’s projects and jobs, a lesson in the assembly elections,” he claimed.
Patole was speaking on Modi’s inauguration of the Tata-Airbus project in Gujarat. He said the Tata-Airbus project would have brought an investment of Rs 22,000 crore rupees to Maharashtra and created 10,000 jobs.
“However, this project was not allowed to materialize in Maharashtra. Due to the anti-Maharashtra stance of the BJP’s central government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Amit Shah, this major project was shifted to Gujarat,” he alleged.
Patol further claimed that the Rs 1.5 lakh crore Vedanta Foxconn project was also blocked by the same anti-Maharashtra people. “The BJP alliance government is not recruiting for jobs, and the projects that could have provided employment to the youth in the state are also being shifted to Gujarat.”
“Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis often claims that Maharashtra’s industries have not been shifted to Gujarat. But he should open his eyes and see that the Tata-Airbus project has indeed been inaugurated in Gujarat and stop misleading Maharashtra. Due to the Mahabrashtrayuti government in the state, Maharashtra’s progress has stalled, and the state is falling behind. Shinde and Fadnavis should stop making false promises that Modiji will give Maharashtra a bigger project than this,” he added.
