Hong Kong actor Louis Koo urged to have children at 54
Despite being single for an extended period and staying out of the spotlight regarding relationships, 54-year-old Hong Kong actor Louis Koo was repeatedly questioned by the media about his plans for having children.
During a Monday press conference for “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In”, a film he produced and starred in, he was asked, “Will you become a father next year?” as reported by Tien Phongciting Swamp.
Koo responded that starting a family wasn’t something he could decide alone. He humorously remarked, “How can I have a child by myself? Am I some kind of asexual being or an alien?”

Koo’s only publicly confirmed relationship was with actress Natalie Wong. He expressed his gratitude towards Wong for her support early in his career when he was still establishing himself as an actor. They met during the 1994 drama “Happy Harmony” and dated for seven years, but eventually parted ways due to differences in lifestyle.
Although Koo has been rumored to be linked with various actresses like Jessica Hsuan, Gigi Lai, Carmen Lee, Joe Chen, and Michelle Chen, he has never confirmed these relationships publicly. Lately, he has emphasized focusing on caring for his family over pursuing marriage or fatherhood.
Koo’s recent appearance at the event stirred discussions, with some noticing changes in his sharp features, leading to speculation about cosmetic enhancements.
Koo initially gained fame in TVB series like “The Condor Heroes” (1995), “Detective Investigation Files IV” (1999), and “A Step into the Past” (2001). These roles earned him a significant following in Hong Kong and beyond.
Since 2001, he has concentrated on films and become a prominent figure in the Hong Kong film industry.
