According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI in the national capital is in the very poor category. Due to increasing pollution levels, people are facing irritation in eyes and difficulty in breathing. Fireworks on the day of Diwali can make the air stifling.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI in Delhi is in the very poor category. Due to increasing pollution levels, people are facing irritation in eyes and difficulty in breathing. Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 351 in Anand Vihar, 317 in Bawan, Narela 302, Burari 292, Dwarka 275, Rohini 292.
Meteorologists say that this time Diwali is in October. It has not rained even a day in this month. Due to unfavorable weather conditions, people may be forced to breathe severe air quality this time on Diwali. On Tuesday, AQI was recorded above 300 in eight areas. Among these, the highest air index of 325 was recorded in Mundka. At the same time, AQI remained beyond 200 in 25 areas.
Wind may reach severe category by Friday
According to the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), on Tuesday the winds blew from south-east to east. During this period the wind speed was 8 to 10 kilometers per hour. On Wednesday, winds are expected to blow from north to south-east direction. The wind speed will be 6 to 10 kilometers per hour. On Thursday the winds will blow from the north-west. The wind speed is expected to be 8 to 16 kilometers per hour. At the same time, on Friday the winds are expected to blow from north-west to south-east direction. The wind speed will be between 6 to 16 kilometers per hour.
It is getting cold in the morning and evening, the heat is tormenting during the day.
Mild cold is being felt in the morning and evening in the capital. On the other hand, the afternoon sun is troubling. In such a situation, the weather may change after Diwali. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there will be a big drop in temperature due to cold winds coming from the mountains. Due to this, the nights will become colder, which will give a good cold feeling. At the same time, a layer of poisonous foam has been seen on the surface of Yamuna river.
