Several blasts one after the other in Anakkallu area of ​​Kerala, hundreds of people shifted to school

Malappuram: Panic spread in the area after an explosion and earthquake in Anakkallu area of ​​Kerala on Tuesday night, after which more than 280 people were shifted to a safe place. However, later gradually as the situation became normal, people started returning to their homes.

According to the information received from the agency, the police told about the incident that after hearing a sound like an explosion in the area, panic spread among the people there. After this, an attempt was made to provide relief to the people by temporarily shifting them to a school. Giving information, the local police said that 287 people from 85 families of the village were shifted to a safe place till late night.

People said that the first sound of the explosion was heard around 9:15 in the night. After that, two more explosions were heard at 10:15 and around 10:45. These sounds were heard far away, due to which an atmosphere of panic and fear was seen among the people. People also felt the tremors of the earthquake.

Giving information, the police said that after the sound of the explosion, local police and revenue officials immediately reached the spot. Leaders of some political parties also went to the spot and started taking stock of the situation. Initially, for safety reasons, all the family members were shifted to a nearby school, but by Wednesday morning everyone has slowly started returning to their homes.

However, the clear cause of these blasts and earthquakes has not been known yet. Administrative officials have ordered an investigation into this matter and have appealed to the people to be cautious, so that any untoward incident can be avoided. At the same time, advice has been given to avoid unnecessary statements and spreading rumors regarding this.
