India-China News: India-China army retreated from LAC, will give sweets on Diwali

New Delhi. Indian and Chinese army troops have completely retreated on Tuesday in Demchok and Depsang on the Line of Actual Control (LAC). With the completion of the withdrawal process of both the armies in Eastern Ladakh, the way has been cleared for patrolling by the armies of both the countries on Diwali. On Diwali, both the armies will also offer sweets to each other.

Defense sources said that now both the armies are physically and through drones to investigate the destruction of temporary constructions with the end of their presence in these areas. The removal of temporary construction at Depsang grounds and Demchok is almost complete.

Along with this, a prescribed level of verification has been done by both the parties. Under this process, both the armies deployed there have retreated to their designated places. Now a contingent of 10 to 15 soldiers will patrol here and the situation before April 2020 will be restored.

The conflict was going on for four and a half years

There was a situation of confrontation between the armies of the two countries here for about four and a half years, which finally ended on Tuesday. With this, as per the pre-determined schedule, on October 29, the work of retreating the armies from both the places and removing the temporary constructions, camps etc. present there was completed.
