“You were the chairman of PCB”: Salman Butt reminds Ramiz Raja of maturity after his rant on Shan Masood’s interview
Salman Butt has reminded Ramiz Raja of maturity after the latter went angry following the accusation that he had insulted Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood during an interview. Raja interviewed Masood after Pakistan’s Test series win over England.
He asked the skipper how he managed to lose six consecutive matches. Butt didn’t like the question and suggested Ramiz should have first hailed Masood.
“You are a former Pakistan player and captain. You were the chairman of the PCB as well. There should be a difference between you and a fan’s question,” Salman Butt said.
“You were there on national television, and a captain who has gone through a lot in the last few months and then won a Test series for Pakistan deserves praise. After a while, Ramiz could have asked all the questions,” he added.
After facing public backlash, Ramiz defended himself and accused the fans and critics of targeting him intentionally.
He called Shan Masood his son and even revealed that they had been in touch for a long time.
Pakistan defeated England by 2-1, and everyone hailed their comeback after losing the first by an innings and 47 runs.
