95 people died due to sudden flood in Spain, storm is yet to come
Barcelona: The death toll from flash floods in Spain has reached 95. Earlier there was information of death of 51 people. These figures may increase further. People's lives have become disrupted due to heavy floods. Local people are facing a lot of problems.
Spanish authorities said on Wednesday that 95 people had died due to flash floods in the eastern part of the country. Many cars were washed away. Villages were flooded. Along with this, railway lines and highways were blocked. Emergency services in eastern Valencia province confirmed the death toll at 92 on Wednesday. Two people were reported dead in the neighboring Castilla-la-Mancha region, while one person was reported dead in southern Andalusia.

There was heavy rain in the eastern and southern parts of Spain on Tuesday. Heavy rains continued the next day i.e. Wednesday, due to which the flood situation worsened. Railway authorities said a train carrying 300 people derailed. However, there have been no casualties.
President expressed condolences
Spanish President Pedro Sanchez said that many cities were affected by floods. In his televised address, he said that those who are searching for their family members. The whole of Spain can feel their pain. Our priority is to help you. We are using all necessary resources so that we can recover from this tragedy.

1100 soldiers deployed
Police and rescue services used helicopters to rescue people from homes and cars. In addition to personnel from Spain's emergency response teams, 1,100 army soldiers were deployed in flood-ravaged areas.

Spain's central government has set up a crisis committee to help with rescue efforts. According to Spain's National Meteorological Service, the impact of the storm is expected to continue in the country until Thursday.
