Iran says two soldiers killed in overnight attacks while confronting missiles- The Week
Two Iranian soldiers were killed in the Saturday morning airstrikes by Israel, according to a local news outlet.
In a statement carried by the Arabic-language channel of the state TV, Al-Alam, the Iranian military said two of their “fighters made the ultimate sacrifice while confronting missiles launched by the criminal Zionist regime.”

However, the Iranian military has not revealed the identities of the deceased soldiers. The targeted sites include military bases in Tehran, Ilam and Khuzestan provinces.
The Iranian military claimed that its air defences limited the damage done by the strikes.
This comes after Iran on October 1 launched around 200 ballistic missiles at Israel, killing a person in the West Bank.
Israel on Saturday said it targeted facilities where missiles fired at Israel were manufactured.
A fear of an all-out war between the two Middle Eastern countries has prompted the US and other major powers to urge restraint on both sides. Israel is already targeting Iranian proxies Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
