PM Modi paid tribute to 'Iron Man' in Kevadiya, said – Sardar Patel will inspire every generation

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on National Unity Day on Thursday i.e. today. Today is the 149th birth anniversary of Vallabhbhai Patel. The Prime Minister visited the 'Statue of Unity' in Kevadiya, Gujarat and paid floral tributes at it. On the occasion of National Unity Day, a cultural program was also organized in Kevadiya. Let us tell you that Patel's birthday is celebrated every year on 31 October.

PM Modi reached the world's tallest statue dedicated to Patel near Ekta Nagar in the state's Narmada district in the morning and offered flowers to pay tribute to the Iron Man of India. Soon after that he left for a nearby event.

A military parade was also organized as part of the National Unity Day programme. 16 marching contingents from across the country participated in the march. Along with this, the armed forces demonstrated many bravery. Let us tell you that Indian Air Force airplanes flypast and paid floral tributes to Sardar Patel. And a contingent of NSG commandos marched during the parade. The teams of the Black Sea Fleet and the Central Russian Federation also showed courage.
