World Cup winning player's house looted, valuables and even medals stolen

Ben Stokes: England cricket team captain Ben Stokes has revealed that when he went to play a Test series in Pakistan, some masked people stole from his house. Stokes' wife Claire Ratcliffe and their children Layton and Libby were inside the house at the time of the incident, but thankfully no one was harmed.

This theft took place at Stokes' house on October 17 this month and at this time Stokes was playing the second Test against Pakistan in Multan. Expressing his pain, Stokes said that the thieves also stole some of his valuables, which included three chains, a locket, a medal and his wife's precious hand bag.

Ben Stokes told this to his fans on the social media platform 'X' on Wednesday. Here he appealed to the people of England for help.

He wrote on 'X', 'On October 17, some masked people entered his house in Castle Eden area in Durham and looted. These scoundrels made away with a lot of jewellery, other valuables and some personal items, many of which hold special sentimental value for my family. Thank God that the miscreants did not physically harm my wife and children. This incident has affected our emotional and mental state. I am uploading photos of some things here. Hopefully this will help in identification.

England lost test series to Pakistan

Meanwhile, Pakistan ended its long wait to win a Test series on home soil by defeating the Ben Stokes-led England team 2-1 in the three-match series. As far as England is concerned, their batsmen surrendered completely on spin-friendly pitches.
