Atlee praises Amaran: “Too emotional”

WarningSivakarthikeyan’s biopic of Major Mukund Varadarajan, hits theatres today as one of the major Diwali releases. Social media is buzzing with fan reactions and appreciation posts for the Rajkumar Periyasamy directorial. In one such post, filmmaker Atlee lauded the team behind the biopic for what he describes as “too emotional” a film. Atlee called Rajkumar’s direction “truly astonishing great work”, Sivakarthikeyan’s performance his “best work”, and Sai Pallavi’s performance the “best of all”. The filmmaker also sounded effusive of CH Sai’s cinematography and R Kalaivanan’s editing. Atlee also showed his gratitude to producers Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran for “bringing this memorable film” and “the pain of jawans and their families” to audiences.

Also starring Bhuvan Arora and Rahul Bose, Warning reportedly tells the real story of the late Major Mukund, a recipient of Ashoka Chakra. Mukund received the honor for his “exemplary leadership skills, raw courage and swift action” while fighting militants in Kashmir in 2014.
