New world record of Deepotsav made in Ayodhya, know how many lamps were lit in the last seven years
New Delhi: Today, a new chapter has been written in the eighth edition of the Deepotsav of Ayodhya Ramnagari. This year, Ayodhya Dham broke its record for the seventh consecutive time and set a new record. In fact, a new record was created by lighting 25 lakh 12 thousand 585 lamps simultaneously. As soon as the counting of lamps lit at 55 ghats of Saryu was completed and a new record was announced, the people present there jumped with joy.
Let us tell you that Guinness World Records consultant Nischal Barot handed over the certificate to CM Yogi. After this, all the spectators present there expressed happiness by clapping. However, a new record of Saryu Aarti of 1121 Archakas simultaneously has been created in Ramnagari.

The Chief Minister, who reached Ram Ki Paidi at around 6:30 pm during the coronation program of Lord Shri Ram, greeted the saints and sages present along with Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and other cabinet members. After this the scheduled plans were launched. CM consecrated and worshiped Maa Saryu. After this, the Maha Aarti of Maa Saryu along with 1121 Batukas, sages, saints and women present on the banks of Saryu started. With this, the saints and religious leaders kept chanting mantras and the whole complex became devotional and people were feeling happy.
After the Maha Aarti, all the saints, volunteers, ministers, mayor, MLAs, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University Vice Chancellor Prof. present along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Pratibha Goyal and many people lit lamps. 30 thousand volunteers started lighting the pre-arranged lamps one by one with candles at Ram Ki Paidi, Bhajan Sandhya Sthal and various ghats of Chaudhary Charan Singh. Within a short span of time, the ghats of Saryu were illuminated with the supernatural glow of lamps.
There was joy and happiness everywhere. After the lighting of the lamps, a 30-member team of Guinness World Records under the leadership of consultant Nischal Barot counted the lit lamps. During the counting, people present on the ghats and roads stood holding their breath.

Let us tell you that new records are continuously being made in the Deepotsav started by the Yogi government of the state from the year 2017. However, this was the seventh time when a new record was established, earlier in the Deepotsav in 2017, 1.71 lakh lamps were lit simultaneously, in the second Deepotsav of 2018, 3.01 lakh lamps, in the third Deepotsav of 2019, 4.04 lakh lamps, in the fourth Deepotsav of 2020, 6.06 lakh lamps were lit. A record was made of lighting 9.41 lakh lamps in the year 2021, total 15.76 lakh lamps in 2022 and 22.23 lakh lamps were lit in the seventh Deepotsav of 2023.
