Auto News Desk – Almost everyone is busy shopping on Diwali. From lighting, sweets, crackers, clothes, there are many things that people are buying. However, in the rush of shopping, many times we knowingly or unknowingly break traffic rules. Traffic rules are being strictly followed on the occasion of festival. Heavy fines are being imposed on those who break the rules. Vehicle modification is also included in the list of rule breakers. In such a situation, there is a provision to cancel the driving license of the people and also punish them. In such a situation, a challan of up to Rs 25,000 can be issued.

This much fine can spoil your budget for the whole month along with Diwali. Actually, whenever you are going to get any kind of modification done in your two-wheeler or four-wheeler, first of all you will have to take permission from the Regional Transport Office. During modification, you can use only those parts in your vehicle which are approved by the Automotive Research Authority of India (ARAI). Here we are telling 3 conditions of modification. Due to which heavy fine can be imposed on you.

1. Heavy invoice on modification
It is also illegal to make modifications to a motorcycle or scooter. These days the traffic police is catching modified motorcycles and issuing challans to them. Under the new traffic rules, any modification made to any vehicle is illegal. You can be fined for this. The bike can also be confiscated.

2. Invoice on sound silencer
Many times people also get the silencer of their motorcycle modified. There is often a craze for the silencer used in Royal Enfield Bullet. People install such silencers in the bike which make loud noise or fire crackers come out of it. Police can catch you if you use such a silencer. Besides, a heavy challan will also be imposed on you.

3. Challan even on fancy number plate
It is illegal to use any kind of fancy number plate on vehicles. The government has prescribed a style sheet for number plates. Under this, all the digits on the number plate should be clearly visible and should not be written in a fancy manner. Always use number plate certified by RTO.
