These mothers get these special facilities in shopping malls and railway stations, know what those facilities are, awareness is important…

New Delhi :- In recent times, many issues related to breast feeding have been discussed openly. This also includes awareness about breastfeeding in public places, which is never talked about openly. Many celebrities have also raised their voice regarding breast feeding in public places. The most important question is whether breastfeeding in public is a matter of shame?

Talking about the present times, even today mothers shy away from breastfeeding their children in public places. They feel ashamed in this. The reason for this shame is not the mother, but it is the society, which has a different opinion on this. Often people believe that this work is best done on screen only. Let us tell you here that now awareness about this is being spread in big and small cities. Now, apart from shopping malls, facilities are also being provided in railway stations and metro so that you can breastfeed your child. For this, a separate place is provided, where mothers can breastfeed the child.

To clear the misconceptions related to breast feeding in the society, IANS spoke to Latika Wadhwa, founder of 'Mompreneur Circle'. Latika serves as a support platform for over 7,00,000 married women entrepreneurs and business moms. 'Mompreneur Circle' organization makes mothers aware about everything which is beneficial for mother and child.

Regarding breast feeding among the public, Latika Wadhwa said, “We are also working to make people aware about breast feeding through our platform. In such a situation, work is being done in this direction in collaboration with doctors. We want people to actively participate in our awareness campaign.” He said that it is very important for this change to start from home itself. For this, first of all it is necessary that people's thinking be changed.

Talking about the present time, this generation is very aware about these things. In such a situation, we have seen that the partners of women are also coming forward and helping them in this.

Latika Wadhwa further said, “Compared to big cities, even today people in small cities are not fully aware about it. In such a situation, new mothers have to face a lot of problems. In such a situation, it is the woman who will have to come forward and take steps for the sake of a woman, so that such misconceptions spread in the society can be eradicated.” She said that it is very important for mothers who are breast feeding to get the support of their family. We all will have to work together to spread awareness about this in the society.
