South Africa whitewashes Bangladesh, wins second test by an innings and 273 runs

South Africa has done wonders on the soil of Bangladesh. In the second Test match of the 2-match Test series played against Bangladesh, the Proteas team gave a crushing defeat to Bangladesh by an innings and 273 runs on the third day of the second Test match. And with this resounding victory, South Africa whitewashed the host team 2-0 in this Test series.

South Africa gave a crushing defeat to Bangladesh in the second test

The second Test match of the 2-match Test series between Bangladesh and South Africa was being played in Chittagong. In this match, South Africa bowled explosively and asked for follow-on after Bangladesh scored 159 runs in the first innings on the third day of the match. Host Bangladesh team came out to play follow-on but on the third day their second innings was also out on the score of 143 runs. For the Proteas team, Keshav Maharaj took 5 wickets and Senuran Muthusamy took 4 wickets.

Bangladesh's first innings was bundled out for 159 runs, second innings was bundled out for 143 runs.

South Africa scored 576 runs for 6 wickets in the first innings. After which Bangladesh started its first innings, but in front of the dangerous bowling of Kagiso Rabada, Bangladesh's first innings was reduced to a score of only 159 and South Africa had a lead of 417 runs over Bangladesh. After which he was bundled out for 143 in the second innings also.
