BJP leader and Nagrota MLA Devender Singh Rana passes away

New Delhi: BJP leader and sitting MLA from Nagrota assembly constituency in the Jammu region Devender Singh Rana passed away late tonight at a hospital in Faridabad. Before joining the BJP, he served as the Provisional President of the National Conference and had close ties with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and NC President Farooq Abdullah.

Rana, the founder of JamKash Vehicleades, recently garnered attention after winning the Nagrota assembly seat with the highest margin in history. As a BJP candidate in the Nagrota Assembly constituency, he was regarded as the wealthiest among all contestants in the Jammu division.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti Minister extended condolences. In a post on X, she wrote, ” Shocked to hear about the sudden demise of Devinder Rana ji. Deepest condolences to his family & loved ones.”

NC leader and MLA Tanvir Sadiq wrote in a post on X, “Shocked to hear about the sudden passing of Devender Rana ji. I had the chance to work with him and shared some good moments together. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace!”
