South Africa clean sweeps Bangladesh, jumps into the race for World Test Championship

Sports Desk: In the two-match Test series played between Bangladesh and South Africa, South Africa gave a clean sweep to Bangladesh by winning the series 2-0. The result of the second test match came out on the third day itself. With this victory, South Africa has entered the top-4 of the points table of the World Test Championship.

South Africa has made a huge leap in the points table of the Test Championship by winning two consecutive matches. With this victory, Africa's winning percentage increased to 54.17. The New Zealand team has now lagged behind them. New Zealand's winning percentage is only 50. New Zealand has slipped to fifth position. There is a fight between India, Australia, Sri Lanka, South Africa and New Zealand to see who succeeds in making it to the finals.

World Test Championship India ranks first in

In the current points table of the World Test Championship 2023-25, India is at the first position, with 62.82 percent points. Australia is in second place with 62.50 percent. Sri Lanka is in third place, having won 55.56 percent of the matches. South Africa is fourth, New Zealand fifth and England sixth, with England having 40.79 percent wins. Pakistan is at seventh position with 33.33 percent victory. Bangladesh is at eighth position and West Indies is at ninth position after winning 18.52 percent matches.

Batting first, South Africa declared the innings after scoring 575 runs. Whereas Bangladesh lost by an innings and 237 runs even after playing two innings. Bangladesh was all out for 159 runs in the first innings and 143 runs in the second innings. Rabada took 14 wickets in this series. He was given the Man of the Series award.
