Football: Al Nasser crash out of King's Cup after losing 1-0 to Al Towa
Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty, causing his club Al Nasr to lose their round of 16 match and crash out of Saudi Arabia's domestic football tournament. Ronaldo got a penalty in injury time of the second half but the 39-year-old player's kick went outside the goal post.
Al Taawon Club won 1–0 against Al Nasser. The five-time Ballon d'Or award winner joined Al Nassr club almost two years ago, but has not been able to lead the team to any major trophy yet. Waleed Al Ahmed scored with a header with 20 minutes remaining. Al Nasr got a penalty due to his mistake in the 95th minute. Earlier, Ronaldo had scored in all the 18 penalties he received. His mistake cost the club dearly and they were eliminated from the tournament. Messi is ahead of Ronaldo in terms of converting penalties into goals. Messi failed to score 31 times in 140 chances. Ronaldo has received a total of 168 penalty kicks so far, out of which 31 have been missed.
