KKR spent huge amount to retain Rinku Singh

Mumbai Mumbai. Rinku Singh, who performed brilliantly in IPL 2023 and then became a household name, has finally been rewarded by Kolkata Knight Riders for his excellent performance for the IPL franchise. Singh was one of the favorite players to be retained by KKR before the official release of the retention list and looks like he has become the first entry by the defending champions.

KKR retained Rinku Singh for Rs 13 crore, which represents an exact percentage increase of 2263.64% from his previous earning of Rs 55 lakh. Rinku is Kolkata's first choice, which puts him above other proven match-winners like Sunil Narine and Andre Russell.

Truly God's plan!

With the increase in value, IPL 2025 could see an even more mature Rinku Singh. Moreover, since he remains in contention for the national team, this could be the beginning of the rise of an undisputed finisher, which Team India has been looking for since the departure of stalwarts like Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni.

IPL 2024 Retention: KKR Final List

Second Retention: Varun Chakraborty – 12 crores

Third Retention: Sunil Narine – 12 crores

Fourth Retention: Andre Russell – 12 crores
