Before the arrival of this retained list, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star player Virat Kohli was the most expensive retained player in the history of IPL, but now this record has become in the name of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as they hired South African Heinrich Klaasen for Rs 23 crore.
