Interstellar explosion in space, discovered by ISRO's Astrosat spacecraft
Latest News :- Astrosat spacecraft has detected a massive explosion of star particles in space, ISRO has announced. The Astrosat satellite developed by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) was launched by a PSLV rocket on 28 September 2015. Similarly, the Chandra spacecraft was launched by NASA in 1999. Both these telescopes are providing us various rare information by studying the movement of ultraviolet rays, X-rays and activity of stars in space.
In this case, AstroSat and the Chandra spacecraft jointly captured images of a massive explosion of star particles around a supermassive black hole. Black holes generally found in space attract everyone. When there is a big explosion, protons are released and X-rays are produced.
Accordingly, in 2019, a star caught in the black hole's gravitational pull exploded and parts of it were found orbiting the black hole. In this situation, ISRO found that when another star orbits in the same region, it periodically collides with the remains of an already exploded galaxy. According to a press release, the release of X-rays during this collision has also been confirmed by data provided by Chandra and Astrosat spacecraft. More information about it can be found on the website released by ISRO.
