She began her career with the Tata Group in 2006 as an assistant sales manager at Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces. Over the years, Leah rose to the ranks to become Vice President at The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), Tata’s hospitality arm responsible for iconic brands like Taj Hotels. Currently, as Manager of Development and Expansion, Leah oversees the strategic growth of Taj Hotels, strengthening the brand’s presence and commitment to excellence.
Her role in IHCL is pivotal, and her impact is felt across the conglomerate’s extensive hotel network. In recognition of her growing influence, Leah was appointed to the board of the Tata Medical Centre Trust, the Tata Group’s healthcare division, on November 2, 2022. Guided by Ratan Tata himself, Leah’s career path showcases her potential to uphold the group’s values and legacy.
Ratan Tata’s Will: What Will Leah Tata Get?
In his will, Ratan Tata has made specific provisions for his family, loyal staff, and even his beloved pets. His wealth is divided among his half-sisters, Shireen and Deanna Jejeebhoy; his brother, Jimmy Tata; his longtime butler; and his executive assistant, Shantanu Naidu. Tata also set aside a portion for his pet dog, Tito, ensuring his care. His assets include a beach bungalow, a Mumbai residence, and over Rs 350 crore in fixed deposits.
Ratan Tata’s extensive car collection and numerous awards will be carefully handled by the Tata Group. While some items may be auctioned, his awards will be donated to the Tata Central Archives to honor his achievements and preserve his legacy for future generations.
