Shiv Sena leader of Uddhav Thackeray faction Arvind Sawant has made very objectionable remarks on Shaina NC, who is contesting elections from Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena party in Maharashtra. Sawant has called Shaina NC an imported product. Shiv Sena UBT leader said that imported goods do not work in Maharashtra. At the same time, Shaina NC hit back at Sawant's lewd comment and said that those who use the word 'maal' for a strong woman will be harassed by the public in the elections.

While campaigning for Shiv Sena UBT candidate from Mumbadevi seat, Arvind Sawant while commenting on Shaina NC said, look at her condition. She remained in BJP all her life and has now moved to another party to contest elections. Imported goods do not work in Maharashtra, only original goods work and we have them. Let us tell you that Shaina NC was in BJP for a long time but she is contesting from Mumbai's Mumba Devi Assembly seat on the ticket of BJP's ally Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena.
