According to the calendar, Diwali has started on 31st October at 3.22 pm on the Amavasya date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month and will end on 1st November. It will end at 6:16 pm. In such a situation, the auspicious time for Lakshmi Puja on November 1 will start from 5:36 pm to 6:16 pm. During this period, devotees will get a total of 41 minutes time for worship.

Uttarakhand and Mumbai
According to astrologers, Diwali is falling on Friday, November 1 in the state of Uttarakhand. However, the formal holiday of government employees will be on 31st October in the city only and Diwali will be celebrated on 1st November and in Mumbai too, two different opinions have been formed regarding Diwali. Therefore, in some areas of Mumbai, Diwali has been celebrated on 31st October and in some areas it will be celebrated today on 1st November. According to religious scriptures, if the prevalence of Amavasya is less or more during Pradosh period on two days, Lakshmi Puja will be done on the second day of Amavasya. Doing this is considered according to the scriptures. When there is Amavasya and Pratipada along with Amavasya, it is considered appropriate to worship Lakshmi on this day. That is why Lakshmi Puja will be performed in these states on 1st November only. Because the people here will worship Diwali according to the Udayatithi.
