On the initiative of trade union BMS, the United Front had requested the state government to take initiative in providing CTO to the mines that were closing down.

And after duly discussing about the many problems and losses being faced by the employees working in the mine, it was requested to take the initiative to provide CTO to the closing coal mine even after November 1, on which the state government took immediate cognizance of Bhatgaon underground. CTO was provided to the mine to continue running even after November 1, due to which the faces of the workers of the entire Bhatgaon SECL area including the Badhav underground mine of Bhatgaon SECL are glowing with happiness.

To keep the mine running, the management was trying for a CTO for 3 years but the CTO was not available. 300 contract workers and 900 permanent workers are employed in the Bhatgaon underground mine.
