New Delhi. There is good news for the government employees of Delhi. There will be a public holiday in the national capital on November 7, the day of evening Arghya on the occasion of Chhath festival. Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena had written a letter in this regard to Chief Minister Atishi directing him to declare a holiday. After LG's letter, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi declared November 7 as a public holiday. Delhi LG V.K. Saxena had written in the letter that Chhath Mahavarp which lasts for four days is coming soon. Arghya will be offered to the setting sun on the third day of Chhath festival on 7th November. This day is already declared as a restricted holiday. I request that the Delhi Government declare 7th November as a full-time holiday and the file related to it should be sent as soon as possible.

In response to this letter, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi declared a public holiday on 7th November after some time. In the holiday order issued by the Delhi government, it has been said that Chhath Puja is the most important festival of the people of Purvanchal and Bihar. That is why, in view of the convenience of the people of Purvanchal and Bihar, there will be a public holiday in Delhi on 7th November on the day of Evening Arghya so that everyone can celebrate Chhath festival with happiness.

However, there is tension between the Governor of Delhi and the Aam Aadmi Party government on many issues. But LG and Delhi government have the same opinion regarding the holiday on Chhath festival. Let us tell you that on the festival of Chhath, Arghya is offered to the Sun God when it rises and when it sets. This four-day long festival will start from 5th November this year and will conclude with offering Arghya to the rising sun on 8th November.
