“Congress badly exposed in front of people”, PM Modi attacks Mallikarjun Kharge…
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the Congress has been “badly exposed” before the people as it has made promises to them which the party knows it will never be able to fulfil. In a sharp attack on the opposition party, Modi cited party president Mallikarjun Kharge's comment that Congress state units should make promises that have a proper budget and do not lead to financial crisis. Whereas there are reports that Congress ruled states are facing financial problems in fulfilling some of the pre-poll announcements.
The Prime Minister said, “The Congress Party is realizing that it is easy to make false promises but it is difficult or impossible to implement them properly. Even after the election campaign, they make such promises to the people which they know they will never be able to fulfill. Now they have been badly exposed in front of the people!” He said the pace of development and financial situation in Congress-ruled Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana is going from bad to worse. We have to be cautious against.” We recently saw how the people of Haryana rejected their lies and preferred a government that is stable, progress-oriented and action-driven,” the Prime Minister tweeted on Twitter with the hashtag “Congress’ false promises”. In a series of posts, he said that there is a growing realization across India that voting for Congress is a vote for non-governance, bad economy and unprecedented loot.
He said Congress's “so-called guarantees” are incomplete, which is a “terrible betrayal” of the people of these states. Modi said the victims of such politics are the poor, youth, farmers and women, who are not only deprived of these promises. They are deprived of benefits, but their existing schemes are also weakened. PM Modi said that in Karnataka, Congress is busy in internal party politics and looting instead of taking the trouble to do development. Not only this, they are also going to withdraw the existing schemes. He said that government employees in Himachal Pradesh are not paid salaries on time and farmers of Telangana are waiting for loan waiver. The Prime Minister said, “Earlier in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, they had promised to give some allowances, which were not implemented for five years. There are many examples of how Congress works. The people of India want development and progress, not the same old false promises of Congress.
