Coconut Barfi
Ingredients to make Coconut Barfi
2 dried coconuts
2 cups water
4 cups sugar
4 cardamoms
2 spoons ghee
Complete recipe for making coconut barfi
- First of all, take a dry coconut and grind it coarsely in the mixer.
- Fry the ground coconut in a heavy bottomed pan.
- Now place the vessel on the gas to heat and start making the syrup by adding sugar water.
- Keep in mind that the syrup should be thick. Barfi is not prepared properly with too thin syrup.
- While making coconut barfi, add dry fruits only after frying them in ghee.
- Now mix grated coconut and sugar syrup.
- Keep stirring it with a spoon until the mixture becomes thick.
- When taking out the mixture in a plate, first grease it by applying ghee on the plate. So that the mixture does not stick.
- Now after taking out the mixture in the plate, cut it in the shape of barfi and serve it to the guests.
coconut laddu
Ingredients for making coconut laddu
Coconut
2 teaspoons dry coconut
5 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon mawa
1 cup sugar
10-12 cardamoms
Complete method of making coconut laddu
- To make coconut laddu, add 1 tablespoon ghee in a kadhai or deep bottom pan and heat it on medium flame.
- When the ghee becomes hot, add grated coconut to it and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Now add 1 cup milk to it and mix well. Let it cook on medium flame.
- When the coconut and milk mixture starts boiling, add sugar to it. Now keep stirring it continuously so that the mixture does not stick.
- Continue cooking the mixture until it starts separating from the sides of the pan.
- When the mixture thickens well, add cardamom powder to it. Mix it well and turn off the flame.
- Now take out the mixture in a plate and let it cool for a while at room temperature.
- When it cools down a bit, apply ghee on your hands and make small laddus.
- You can decorate laddus with pistachios or almonds.
