IND vs NZ | Twitter buzzes as Mumbai Cha Raja Rohit Sharma takes a stunning catch at slips to remove Mitchell
It was a day for the spinners at Wankhede as the Indian spin attack dominated, with Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja taking key wickets. Jadeja was in exceptional form, claiming a five-wicket haul, while Sundar added four wickets to his tally. Daryl Mitchell’s valiant innings helped New Zealand reach a respectable total of 235 runs, but it came to an end when Rohit Sharma took a spectacular catch.
On the first ball of the 66th over, Washington delivered a length ball outside off stump, which Mitchell attempted to cut but was late on the shot. The ball edged the bat and flew toward first slip, where Sharma dived to his right to complete a superb low catch, igniting a roar from the packed Wankhede crowd. Frustrated, Mitchell walked back to the pavilion, while Twitter celebrated Rohit’s outstanding fielding effort.
