Naidu, the new TTD chairman, on Thursday stressed that all those working in the temple premises should be Hindus. He said, “Every person working in Tirumala should be a Hindu. This will be my first effort to work in this direction. There are many issues in this. We have to meditate on this.” Naidu also said he would talk to the state government on how to treat employees of other religions, whether they should be sent to other government departments or given VRS.

BR Naidu is an important media personality who runs a Telugu TV channel including a Hindu devotional channel. He thanked the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Central Government for appointing him the Chairman of TTD. Naidu said that he considers it a privilege to be appointed Chairman of the TTD Board. During this, he also alleged that many irregularities were committed in Tirumala during the previous YSR Congress government.
