New Delhi : The biggest festival of the year has started in India with Dhanteras. This festive season, a business of around Rs 60 thousand crore is expected and by Diwali this figure is expected to cross Rs 1 lakh crore. On the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, utensils made of gold, silver and brass have been sold extensively. According to the data of a report, on this day traders have earned a total of Rs 20,000 crore from gold sales alone.
Some business class of India had the hope that the sales were expected to increase well in advance of this festive season, for which these businessmen had made vigorous preparations. A report has also revealed that due to decline in demand for goods made in China, there is a possibility of a total loss of up to Rs 1.25 trillion to the Chinese economy.
Vocal for local trend is fast
According to the Confederation of All India Traders, a total business of Rs 60 thousand crore is expected on Dhanteras. CAT General Secretary and MP Praveen Khandelwal has said that after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for Vocal for Local Trend, the demand for Indian products has increased. Apart from this, he has also said that due to the Vocal for Local initiative, sales of Chinese products have also decreased, due to which China is expected to suffer a loss of about Rs 1.25 trillion.

Shopping for gold and silver extensively on Dhanteras
CAT's Pankaj Arora has told that on the occasion of Dhanteras on Tuesday, people have purchased gold and silver extensively. On this day, gold sales worth about Rs 20 thousand crores and silver worth about Rs 2,500 crores have been purchased. Not only this, it is being told that on this day a total of 25 tonnes of gold and 250 tonnes of silver were sold across the country. Apart from this, demand for old silver coins has also increased.

According to information, it has been learned that Praveen Khandelwal is planning shopping in Chandni Chowk with local traders on Chhoti Diwali i.e. 30th October.
