Salman Khan firing case: Process to bring back Lawrence's brother Anmol from America started, know the process

The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police has started the extradition process to bring back Anmol Bishnoi, brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, from the US. Anmol Bishnoi is wanted in the firing case outside actor Salman Khan's house.
A senior Mumbai Police official said on Saturday that the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) court has issued a non-bailable warrant for the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi. Besides, a Red Corner Notice has also been issued to search for him abroad.
Mumbai Police officials said, “Some court documents are being awaited to complete the formalities. After this, a formal proposal will be sent to the central government for further action.”
A Red Corner Notice is a request made by an Interpol member country to locate and arrest a wanted criminal. The crime branch official said that apart from the warrant, the police also need certified copies of court documents to formalize the extradition process.
He said, “The special MCOCA court approved the crime branch's application on October 16 and the police are hopeful of getting the documents soon. Mumbai Crime Branch has applied to the central government for the extradition of Anmol Bishnoi for further action.” Sent.”
Earlier on October 25, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol has been charged in two NIA cases registered in 2022. Anmol is also wanted in connection with the firing incident that took place outside the residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan earlier this year.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about Anmol Bishnoi's whereabouts to come forward. He has been associated with various criminal activities and is considered an important figure in organized crime. The NIA has intensified its efforts to track down Anmol, with officials urging people to come forward with any information that can help in his capture.
