Pakistan brings relaxation for Britain, America and Canada, free online visa for Sikh pilgrims
Islamabad: Pakistan has brought free offers to Sikh pilgrims from Britain, America, Canada. Pakistan Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that Sikh pilgrims coming from America, Britain and Canada will be given free online visa within 30 minutes. Naqvi's comments came after meeting a 44-member foreign delegation of Sikh pilgrims in Lahore on Thursday.
According to a statement issued by the Home Ministry, the minister warmly welcomed the Sikh pilgrims. He acknowledged that in the past Sikh pilgrims had to face difficulties while traveling to Pakistan. Naqvi said the government has made the visa process for Sikhs easier by making it online.

The minister said US, Canada and UK passport holders can apply online and get their visas within 30 minutes without any fees. He said that this facility will also be available to Sikhs of Indian origin living in these countries.
Sikh heritage sites will be opened for darshan
Naqvi said that it is his government's priority to provide more facilities to the Sikh community. He announced that many Sikh heritage sites in Pakistan would be opened for visiting. No permit will be required for this.

Free visa facility for citizens of 124 countries
The minister expressed his desire to increase the number of Sikh pilgrims visiting Pakistan from one lakh to 10 lakh annually, with special emphasis on attracting the young generation. Naqvi also mentioned that the Pakistan government has started free visa facility for citizens of 124 countries. (agency)
